Friday is a day of resolution. First we learn that Ashley “Barack-O-Lantern” Todd, about whom we wrote earlier today, has confessed to lying to the cops. Nobody held her down, groped her, and carved a “B” into her face with a dull knife. Now she gets an “A” for honesty, and a backwards “F” for her failed attempt to change the course of this election by reminding America to be scared of black men.

Meanwhile, we discover that the college students responsible for leaving that dead, decorated bear cub on the campus of Western Carolina University have been apprehended. Covering the bear with Obama signs was, they admit, a “stupid prank.” One professor makes a plea for forgiveness:

“What I experienced here was what I would have experienced on any college campus,” said professor Cheryl Daily. “Seven students made a mistake. There must be healing. I can’t stop thinking about those young people and the pressure they are living with.”

True story. It must be very difficult to handle the “pressure” that follows getting drunk and making your campus a focus of national disapproval.

Have a great weekend! Very soon, we promise, this election will be history.
