Under-Dog Days of Summer

Chances are if you put money down on the College World Series, you hate your life right now. No one could have predicted an all-Dog World Series, as the Fresno State Bulldogs will face-off against the Georgia Bulldogs for the NCAA Title (Insert cliché “dog fight” comment here). The best-of-three series will begin tonight in Omaha, Nebraska.
Georgia will be looking for its second CWS Title, while Fresno State is hoping to win the program’s first baseball championship in only its fourth Tournament appearance. Both Bulldog teams brought down several college baseball giants en route to the Championship Series, including Florida State, Stanford, Miami, North Carolina, LSU and Rice.
Each of the final two teams has looked unstoppable up until this point, but I’ll take Fresno State in three games. Although both teams have tons of momentum, you can’t ignore the fact that Fresno State has already beaten five top-20 teams in the Tournament. Plus, who can resist an underdog story?
