The stench of untidied summer school dorms is just one indication the UC strike that began on Monday is causing a stink. The LA Times raises the question as to where the money for higher hourly wages for UC employees should come from. The answer may lay with the ones calling the shots and earning the major duckets: the administration.

The union has yet to confront the high-paid admins directly. But tensions are only getting worse, and if there’s no amicable negotiation between the two parties soon, UC dining halls might not be the only things getting messy, ifyouknowwhatimsayin. Perhaps UCI’s new president, Mark G. Yudof, should take one for the team, like benevolent Dr. Ramsey did.
