The Daily Prereq: Moondance

When students at the University of Nevada in Reno felt they needed more spirit and tradition, what did they do? More pennants in the gift shop? A couple extra “We’ve got spirit!” t-shirts? Paint their faces for the big game? If you guessed any of the above you’re poorly mistaken. Instead, UNR students decided to break the age-old, much-coveted “Mooning” record, previously held by a bunch of Swedes. At this year’s “Moon Off,” a tradition two decades dormant at UNR, Brita Muller (SGA head of Homecoming) wants to shatter that old record, and bring about a new generation of tradition at the university.
“There’s something missing on this campus,” she said. “I want that to change. (UNR) could be so much more than what it is now.”
In my humble opinion, only the prevalence of more ass will change the campus climate. (Source: The Nevada Sagebrush)
