Students Cite Biggest Party Warning Signs

Sketchy college parties: We’ve all been to one. But how can you tell when a party’s about to cross the line from “bad idea” to “big mistake”? According to the Chronicle of Higher Education, researchers from Ball State University put this very question to 300 Midwestern college students. Their biggest red flags were “suggestive dancing” (i.e., gropin’ and grindin’) and too many men in attendance. Not making the list? The presence (and abundance) of booze. Some experts think these findings indicate a worrying lack of caution when it comes to alcohol’s potential dangers. But let’s be real–if you’re stuck at a dirty-dancing sausage-fest, wouldn’t you need a drink, too?
