Some boycotts have political motives — like one last week, designed to protest Prop. 8. Others, like a Notre Dame boycott of Subway, make you go, “huh?”
The issue in this case is the local Subway’s decision not to offer a $5 footlong deal. Apparently, sophomore John Traub thinks getting the cheap, huge sandwich up on the board is worth a kerfuffle.
“Basically every time I get Subway it’s in the back of my mind that I wish we had $5 footlongs and until a few weeks ago I figured there was no way to change that,” Traub said.
Fight on, brave warrior!
