Our muckraking pals at ESPN have reported the FBI, IRS, and the U.S. Attorney’s office, are investigating our favorite scandal, Mayo-Gate. The USC basketball stud allegedly violated NCAA rules when he accepted 30,000 George Washingtons from a basketball tournament promoter. Accepting these sorts of gifts is a big fat no-no in the college sports world. Now that the Fab Three of law enforcement is looking into citrus and mayonnaise, where does that leave a) USC, and b) the Juice-meister?

Well, USC has turned itself into a professional sports factory, and they need to wash their hands clean before the next Juice gets on the loose. As for Mr. Mayo himself, he’ll be all right. He denies accepting any gifts, and as we know, the last USC athlete with the nickname OJ under investigation was innocent.
