Got the new Lil’ Wayne album? If you go to The Ohio State University, we bet you do–a recent RIAA report revealed OSU is the number-one college in the country for music piracy. The RIAA recently presented Congress with a list of the top campuses for download offenders, and OSU takes first place, with 2,336 warning letters sent during the ‘07-’08 school year. It might seem natural that one of the country’s largest schools would also have one of the largest stacks of file-sharing violations, but, according to the Columbus Dispatch, OSU didn’t even crack the top-10 last time around. RIAA officials say college network improvements have given them new ways to track down cyber-thieves, but school administrators say the increase in letters is mostly due to the RIAA’s increase in policing dorm-room downloads. See which other schools made the RIAA watch-list after the jump.
