The Unselfish Athlete – They Still Make You?

Pittsburgh junior and star basketball player Sam Young decided he will not declare for the NBA draft.
“With the players we have returning to the team, we have an opportunity to accomplish something special next year,” Young said in a press release. “I can’t wait to get the season started.”
Most star college basketball players have their bags packed before March Madness is even over. Isn’t it nice to know that not all athletes are in it just for the big payday? Young would rather try to win a NCAA Championship than play on a crummy NBA team. If only other athletes cared as much about winning as they do about filling their wallets.
Plus, playing in the NBA isn’t exactly the most secure profession in the world. One bad season or unfortunate injury, those early-exit-athletes will be wishing they had the degree they bailed on.
