Obama’s Paying Your Tuiton…Sort of…Not Really

During last night’s Obama-Rama convention speech, the Big O made a concerted effort to discuss specific policy issues in addition to the usual shtick that mentions hopes, dreams, and manna-like lollipops. Lucky for us, he decided to discuss his goals for higher education and affordable tuition.
Tonight, more Americans are out of work, and more are working harder for less. … More of you have cars you can’t afford to drive, credit-card bills you can’t afford to pay, and tuition that is beyond your reach…,,[it’s] time to finally meet our moral obligation to provide ever child a world-class education, because it will take nothing else in the global economy.
While the focus on education isn’t uncharted rhetorical territory for a Democratic politician, it’s comforting to see that it was included in THE MOST IMPORTANT SPEECH EVER. Like any other politician, potential-president Obama promises more than he will most likely be able to deliver but playing up educational-angle at least suggests that tuition reform is a priority.
As if college-aged kids needed another reason to vote for that Obama fellow, well they just got it.
