It must be hell to edit College Life. Andrea gets some text messages and decides to film them. I wonder how many times a day that happens. The MTV editors must sift through hours of footage—they don’t even wince anymore—until finally, Mom shows up or Kevin decides it’s party time. But me, I’m excited that Lindsay showed up. Or I was. She seemed reasonable, flippant, sensible (actually doing some homework, woah) and, it was agreed, is all the cuter for it. Then she started to tweak. I’m getting frustrated with College Life. I want to watch someone rise out of their self-dug hole. I want to see someone get a B. Everybody on this show (except Lindsay) needs a lifestyle coach. Jordan, Kevin—call me. Hell, Madison has a million lakes and parks and a huge bike culture and a million activity-related clubs, their own Onion events—it’s the consummate college town. But as it stands, MTV casting got us the cream of the social runts. Maybe it’s something about that ability to film your own text messages.
