Hofstra University on Long Island has spent millions of dollars preparing to host this third and last presidential debate of this never-ending election and today it is more excited than a 14-year-old when Gossip Girl is about to come on. The looming debate even influenced curriculums:
In anticipation of the debate, the university has been offering political courses across disciplines, with such titles as “From Abigail Adams to Hillary Clinton: Can a Woman Be Elected President of the United States?”
Short answer: Apparently not. That will be $4,000, please.
Newsday is liveblogging this thrilling day on Hofstra’s campus. Its behind-the-scenes coverage describes a woman from Code Pink hanging out in “Issue Alley”:
Clad in pink flowery pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a pink camouflage hat, Hourican described her group as nonpartisan. However, she also said that “if you vote for John McCain you are voting for endless war.”
Stay tuned for more campaign madness as it develops!
