Prediction: In 50 years, kids will no longer have to apply to colleges. Instead, they’ll take their brightest and shiningest moments, post them on YouTube/Facebook/MySpace, and wait for colleges to apply to THEM. For high school sophomore April Carson, that future is now, thanks to a YouTube video her father posted of the then-eighth-grader breaking her school’s record for the number of 3-pointers scored in a basketball game. Before even taking her SATs, April has been contacted by Princeton, Yale, Baylor, and Clemson, according to The New York Times. Get that camcorder fired up! I’m thinking this funny trick my cat can do has “Ph.D.” written all over it.

The video that launched a thousand even more aggressive sideline parents is above.
