Colleges Get Their Green Report Cards

Students hoping to become the next Rachel Carson or Al Gore can narrow down their environmentally-friendly college search with new rankings from the Princeton Review. According to the Christian Science Monitor, the college guide will now include a “Green Rating” for 600 colleges, with a score that factors in green things like building and transportation policies, recycling on campus, and the availability of environmental courses. Students wanting to know now whether their school of choice puts their green-initiative money where their mouth is can check out the College Sustainability Report Card released by the Sustainable Endowments Institute, which took a look at 200 public and private schools with the largest endowments.
