In the wake of John Edwards Affairgate 2008, Salem State College has announced that Edwards and his wife, Elizabeth, will stay on the schedule to speak during the college’s Speaker Series next month. A college spokesman explained:
“During our 26-year history, the series has experienced controversy, demonstrations, cancellations, reschedules, deaths of speakers and weather delays. The Salem State Series has become a microcosm of contemporary life.”
Wow! Even the dead speakers kept their arrangements. That’s impressive.
If the Edwards’s’s’s stay on the bill, can audiences expect a more “personal presentation” rather than the planned “Health Care” talk that’s scheduled? That’s a question the media will surely be happy to answer for us extensively and exhaustively in the days leading up to and following the speech…
