Last week, two students at CU-Boulder were arrested for protesting a controversial bill about the war in Iraq, and they—… Oh, no, I’m sorry. They were actually just balls-out wasted at three o’clock in the morning trying to kill a bunch of raccoons with bows and arrows.
The two Boulder students were “literally, like hiding behind bushes and things like that,” said CUPD commander Tim McGraw. The police report of the incident continues:
Jared Leidich and Wesley Ashwood were “visibly intoxicated,” and one of them was carrying a silver can. They also had a camouflage nylon case with them…Inside the case, the officers found a compound hunting bow, six arrows, four of which had sharp tips, and three unopened beers.
I’m glad they had time to sharpen their arrow tips. That’s important when you’re going drunken raccoon hunting.
