A UGA Football Ticket Don’t Come For Free

Want to join the Bulldog Nation in cheering on the second-ranked University of Georgia football team this fall? Hope you’re not poor–the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the minimum lifetime donation UGA fans must make in order to secure season tickets in 2008 is a cool $10,651. To put that in perspective, a full year of tuition at UGA for a Georgia resident is only $6,030. Or, you know, for almost twice as much, you could have a place to park your butt in Sanford Stadium six times a year. Students are even feeling the pinch, as unprecedented demand has forced many ticket packages reserved for students to be split into half-packages that only guarantee admission to three home games. While it’s fun to sit in the stands with fellow UGA fans, we have a feeling the majority of the Dawg Nation are going to be tailgating in their living rooms this year.
